Maruti Suzuki, largest car manufacturer in India, became the first automobile company on Tuesday to produce one million cars in a year in India. Maruti Suzuki is the major player in the Indian auto market.
According to the Maruti Suzuki company, a red Maruti Suzuki Swift is the millionth car which was manufactured in 2009-10 from it’s Manesar plant. Now Maruti has joined the elite club of automobile manufacturers like Toyota, General Motors, Volkswagen, Ford, Honda, Renault, Nissan and Suzuki. Million cars were already produced by these companies. Now the company has the plan to expand the Manesar plant by 2,50,000 units per annum. For this expansion, company has the plan to invest the Rs. 1700 crore. This company has another production plan in Gurgaon, and it has 7,00,000 units as it’s capacity.
Maruti Suzuki has sales of 9,23,242 units in domestic market and 1,31,982 units in foreign market and totally 9,23,242 units.
