Maruti Suzuki Recalls 13157 Diesel Engine Cars in India

Maruti Suzuki is the leader in the Indian car market and the company recently announced that it is recalling 13,157 units of diesel engine cars for inspecting Connecting Rod Bolt. Out of the 13,157 cars the company is recalling 4505 units of Swift Dzire, 6841 units of swift and also 1811 Ritz cars. These all cars are manufactured by the company in between 13th November 2010 and 4th December 2010. Maruti Suzuki, will inspect the connecting rod bolt in Swift Dzire, Swift and Ritz diesel cars, so that the company will replace the defective connecting Rod Bolts free of cost.

Maruti Ritz is also known as splash outside India and is a hatchback. This car is available in both petrol and diesel variants. It has 1248cc, 4 Cylinder, Multijet, DDiS diesel engine, 74 Bhp produces 190 Nm torque at 2000 rpm. It gives a mileage of 17.7 kmpl in petrol and of 21.1 kmpl in diesel. The other car, the company is recalling is Swift which is also a hatchback and it has come up with technical specifications of 16 valve 4 cylinder, 1300 cc engine generating power of solid 87bhp at 6000 rpm. Maruti swift has advanced equipments with wide variety of features. It has seating capacity for five members and it has 5 speed manual transmission. Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire petrol version comes equipped with a 1.2 L, 1197 cc, K12 series engine that is capable of delivering a peak power of 85 PS at 6000 rpm and a torque of 113 Nm at 4500 rpm. Swift Dzire carries stylish Tachometer, Illumination control, Trip meter with digital display, Fabric accented door trims, luggage room lamp and automatic Interior light turn-on with central locking switch.
