Internet Ad Revenue Increased for First Half of 2011: IAB

adserverInternet ad spending is gradually increasing; businesses are spending more money on online promotions. Half of 2011 online ad revenue reports clearly explain online sales growth. In the first quarter of 2011, online ad revenue increased with 23.2% growth and the revenue was 14.9 billion dollars.

Internet ad revenue for second quarter increased faster, as online business promotions performed better. Companies spent more money for promoting their products and services. Internet Advertisement bureau (IAB) released the data on online spending for second quarter. The growth value of online spending was 24.1% and the revenue was $7.7 billion. It’s more than the corresponding quarter revenue ($6.2%) last year.

IAB reported that search and display ad revenues for first the half increased at 27% and digital video ad revenues were increased at 42.1%. Lead adservergeneration spending growth increased by 25.4% more than last year but email ad spending for first half decreased with 34.2%.

Ad revenue is increasing especially because performance of businesses based online ad revenue is increasing fast.
