India’s pioneer in commercial vehicle production company, Ashok-Leyland will be coming into passenger vehicles sector. It will be introducing their new passenger car products in the Indian auto market. Recently introduced model, Dost comes with 1.2 ton capacity LCV, which has a seating capacity of 7 to 8. Another brand is being developed with the Nissan’s NV200, it comes with multipurpose vehicle (MPV) features.
Ashok-Leyland plans to invest huge money for developing their passenger and commercial vehicle production, Ashok-Leyland is in partnership with the Japanese car makers ‘Nissan’ and they are looking to produce passenger vehicles in the Indian auto market. They are investing Rs 2,300Cr for upcoming three years in two phases.
Th officials from the Ashol-Leyland have said that the Dost was introduced for the passenger sector and the Nissan’s NV200 will be launched next year. They said that they are focusing on both passenger and commercial vehicle sectors. The Chennai based plant is dealing with the LCV car manufacturing.
