With fast changes in technology, there is a need for organizations or businesses to update themselves with the latest technologies in order to leverage the benefits of technology and stand strong in competition world of business.
Evolution
For a business, the flow, storing, securing and sharing of information is crucial. From the mid 1990s to late 1990s, mainframe system was most reliable for their huge data storage and ability to communicate with all other devices of the network. Enterprise computing is inexpensive. Enterprise computing enables sharing of general devices like printers, scanners, etc. and thus, avoiding facilitating them to every workstation individually. It also helps organizations/businesses save in cost unlike Mainframe systems, which were earlier used for all operations that enterprise computing is doing now at fairly lower price.
There is no need of multiple replicas of the data or no need to store same data in various systems of the enterprise because data on one device can be used by other device through network. Thus, it saves the cost of storage disc spaces.
Increases productivity
With enterprise computing, information and resources are shared among all systems of the network. Any user can easily retrieve the resources they need for business, and accomplish tasks quickly. Ease in communication further increases the speed of performing the task and thus increases the productivity of the person and therefore the productivity organization.
Enterprise computing has a remarkable impact on businesses because of its low cost, ease communication and its ability to make business operations fast. It is a helpful software for small and mid sized businesses.
