Amphetamines: Amphetamines increase heart rate, blood pressure, metabolism; feelings of exhilaration, energy and increased mental alertness. Some of the health consequences are rapid or irregular heart beat; reduced appetite, weight loss, heart failure.
Cocaine: Intoxication effects of cocaine include rapid breathing and hallucinations. Its health consequences include increased temperature/chest pain, respiratory failure, nausea, abdominal pain, strokes, seizures, headaches and malnutrition
Methamphetamine: It increases aggression, violence and psychotic behavior. Its potential health consequences are memory loss, cardiac and neurological damage; impaired memory and learning, tolerance and addiction.
Methylphenidate: Some of the intoxication effects of this drug are increase or decrease in blood pressure and psychotic episodes. Some of the major health issues that arise from this drug abuse are digestive problems, loss of appetite and weight loss.
