Recently launched models of Toyota’s Etios and Etios Liva performed well in the market. After the success of these (petrol version) models, Toyota motors focused on these models in diesel range. They introduced Etios and Etios Liva in diesel range into the Indian auto market.
According to the data, Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) launched new models of Etios and Etios Liva in diesel range on 9th September, 2011. Diesel variant cars were exclusively successful in the category of low cost cars. Toyota has said that Indian auto market has more demand for diesel engine luxury cars, and hence they are launching new models under these category.
These cars come with the 1.4 L diesel engine. They deliver 66bhp power and 170Nm of torque. Etios model car offers 4 different variants, these are GP, GP9(SP), VD and VXD. Similarly Etios Liva model offers two variants like VD and VD(SP). Both models will offer 5 speed manual transmission. These cars are approved by the ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India), and comes with 23.59kmpl mileage.
