- Toyota Corolla or Auris: Even the natural disasters hurt the Japanese, Toyota Corolla is remains the best-selling car in the world and continuing in the world’s leadership for the ninth consecutive year. It was 1.02 (nearly 1,214,837) units sold.
- Ford Focus: It has the record of second model ever sell more than one million vehicles in a calendar year. Total units sold is 1,036,683. It is the best seller not only in United Kingdom, but also the United States and China.
- Hyundai Elantra: The total sales of Hyundai Elantra were 829,192 vehicles. It might not available in the United Kingdom any more. But it will stay in the United States market as the most popular car. It is closely similar to the i30 in UK, but, it is not the same. It is also known as Avante in Korea.
- Toyota Camry: It is one of the best-selling car models in the United States and throughout the world. The Camry was the top-selling car in the United States. 797,466 cars have been sold.
- Ford F – Series: The sales of ford F – Series sold 785,028 vehicles. This includes the pickup trucks. This is because the United States counts these trucks as cars. The Ford’s F – Series remains the most popular vehicle in America and USA’s best seller for fully thirty one years.
- Chevrolet Cruze: The total sales of Chevrolet Cruze are estimated at 784,014. This is the General Motor’s most successful car worldwide. Even though there are plants in USA and China, it is a Korean car, because it is manufactured and engineered at the ex-Daewoo facility.
- Volkswagen Passat: The Volkswagen Passat is at seventh generation. The fifth and sixth generation of Passat are still in production at different places of the world. It also includes Chinese built Magotan, which is almost Passat but not the same. Now it is a model in its own right. It has a total sales of 782,694 vehicles.
- Nissan Tiida: The total sold vehicles of Tiida model are 774,846. Because of good performance of Qashqai, Nissan did not released Tiida in Britain. The rest of the world it is doing well.
- Volkswagen Jetta: Volkswagen Jetta is a European model having sold 753,235 vehicles.
There are some other top-selling car brands throughout the world. These are Volkswagen Golf (750,466), Ford Fiesta (742,037 ), Volkswagen Polo (733,678) and Toyota Yaris (708,619).
