The advent of Always Connected PC into the markets is the direct outcome of combined efforts of Microsoft and Qualcomm. Basically, AC-PC is a sophisticated device, the appearance of which resembles that of a laptop, but is powered with the processor of a smartphone.
The PC is a more convenient option than the smartphone for users who never want to be away from their work. Well, this is a development that is unprecedented, in the realm of computer & digital technology!
For a device to be categorized as being an Always Connected PC, it is imperative that few conditions are fulfilled. Let’s take a glimpse of those prerequisites:
- As indicated by the name itself, the device should have the ability to be incessantly connected to the Internet.
- The battery life of the AC-PC has to be significantly longer than that seen in traditional PCs. Generally, the Always Connected PC facilitates battery life of more than 15 hours. And, it gets extended to nearly 3 weeks, when the device is put on standby mode!
- The AC-PC should come with an extremely slender design so that it can always be carried with you, devoid of any hindrances.

- To date, with regard to downloading your favorite movies with the AC-PC, the only two choices are Netflix and the store of Microsoft. To be clearer, the PC has not yet included Amazon Prime.
- One more disadvantage is that the PC is not compatible with Android. Several experts vociferously state that the acceptance levels for the AC-PC shall increase only when it supports apps of Android. Currently, the users are compelled to restrict themselves to the Microsoft store!

All that the makers of these devices have to do is to rectify the aforesaid flaws and, that is not a herculean task for them! Once that happens, it won’t be too long before the demand for the Always Connected Devices escalates by leaps and bounds!
